Abstract

Abstract- This study explores the evolution of facility management practices in Gurugram s corporate sector through a two-year practitioner journey Based on structured audits ethnographic observations and interviews with over 50 employees across eight major office sites 2023 2025 the research tracks a shift from compliance-driven operations to human-centered approaches Findings show that workplaces embracing empathy and inclusion- what this study terms empathetic infrastructure - report a 23 higher employee retention rate and 31 greater satisfaction scores than traditionally managed sites As both a workplace professional and poet I bring a dual lens to this research My poem Beyond Paychecks reflects the emotional landscape of corporate life- burnout purpose and culture- which complements the study s data-driven insights
